What Is Propel?
Propel treatment provides innovative devices and procedures to shift teeth much quicker and more comfortably than ordinary treatment. Our orthodontist can use Propel in combination with current orthodontic treatments, including Invisalign and traditional braces, to help move teeth into their desired position – up to 64% faster than teeth can move with clear aligners and traditional braces alone.
Propel treatment works by removing some of the external surfaces of the bone. The bone then goes through a phase where the mineral content is temporarily decreased. The tissue of the bone releases rich deposits of calcium, and new bone begins to mineralize. While in this transition phase, bone is softer and there is less resistance for the existing braces, allowing them to move quickly.
Invisalign
Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign straightens your teeth without wires and brackets, using a series of clear, customized, removable appliances called aligners. It’s virtually undetectable, which means hardly anyone will know that you’re straightening your teeth.
